Artistic Director & Co-Founder, Tumi's Design . . .2000-Current
Built Oakland's only bilingual design studio dedicated to global human rights. Provide clients with unique design solutions that promote social justice. Built client base to 200 in less than 16 months. Develop strong communication materials for VIP clients inclulding the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, KQED, Vanguard Public Foundation, KPFA 94.1 Public Radio, & the Dalai Lama Foundation.

Director, Visual Element . . .1999-Current
Oversee graffiti arts program that trains young artists in the traditions of muralism and graffiti for social change. Coordinate recruitment, instruction, and retention of young graffiti artists of color ages 17-20. Develop street-based arts curriculum. Fundraise over $75,000 annually from city grants, foundations, & private mural commissions. Program of the EastSide Arts Alliance.

Co-Founder, EastSide Arts Alliance (ESAA) . . .1999-Current
Research, design and implement artistic and cultural models for community empowerment in a racially diverse neighborhood. Participate in national networking conferences and panels to discuss the role of cultural centers in movement building. Active member of ESAA's core leadership.

Radio Correspondent, Hard Knock Radio 94.1 KPFA . . .2003-Current
Bilingual segment producer for KPFA's daily hip hop news show. Responsible for event coverage at major national gatherings, including the 2004 National Hip Hop Political Convention, Habana's 2003 Hip Hop Festival, & Philadelphia's 2004 Mural Arts Conference.

SISTERFIRE: National Tour of Women of Color . . .January - July 2004
Conducted workshops in Albuquerque, New York & Chicago on power of political posters developed by and for women of color.

Recipient of City of Oakland Individual Artist Grant . . .June 2003 & 2004
Received a grant of $5,000 to print 700 silkscreen posters addressing social justice topics. Awarded grant for two consecutive years.

Guest Lecturer & Artist, Loyola Marymount University . . .April 2004
Invited to speak on the role of community arts in movement building and cultural activism. Exhibited over 14 political posters in LMU's student center.

"30 Years of Chicano Printmaking & Social Justice", Panel Member & Guest Artist . . .Fall 2003
Invited guest for national discussion on role of printmaking in progressive social movements. Completed a limited edition serigraph documenting the plight of farmworkers in their battle with the World Trade Organization.

Anti-War Posters for National Women's Anti-Violence Organization, INCITE . . .2003 & 2001
Designed four posters against U.S. imperialism, colonization, & aggression. Posters were reprinted in quantities of over 5,000 and distributed to large U.S. metropolitan cities in a national campaign.

"We Shall Not Be Moved" Silkscreen Poster Project . . .November 2002
Designed art piece for displacement campaign in downtown Los Angeles in a project sponsored by Rockefeller Foundation, Center for the Study of Political Graphics, Strategic Actions for A Just Economy, & Self Help Graphics & Art.

LYRIC/GSA Poster Campaign against Harrasment of Queer Students . . .Summer 2002
Instructed queer youth on political poster making. Assisted in silkscreening workshops at Mission Cultural Center. Eight poster designs were distributed to ALL high schools in California.
