Pobre Payasa (Amarillo)

This piece is part of a suite of experimental monotypes printed at Mullowney Studios in San Francisco, CA. Throughout my 2013 monotypes, I was growing more comfortable with my unique approach to monotyping, and was experimenting with different brayer sizes and stencils, also adding linoleum block in bold black ink.

This print is about a clown who is smiling to hide her tears.
