Survivor Justice

This monotype collage is a response to the courageous women around the country who shared their stories of sexual harassment and abuse during the rising of #metoo in 2018. This art work celebrates the survivors who broke the silence and helped usher forward a culture of healing and repair. The piece depicts two feminine figures embracing each other as they share their experiences. I imagined them in a peaceful garden as nature holds them through their many emotions. Their bodies are unified into one strong dignified figure and their isolation transforms to love.
