The Illusion of Control Part V

This piece is about the idea that we have full control over our lives, and how this is merely an illusion. This work depicts my own process of self transformation in which I learned to let go of the idea of control. During the process of monotyping, I allowed myself to lose control in order to let the artworks take on a more organic and playful style. My creative practice was teaching me to let go of control and instead surrender to the present and trust my mark-making.
