This series is a celebration of my Andean mountain heritage, a deep connection to my roots in Peru and the majestic Andes Mountains. During my teenage years, I felt a strong pull to travel to Cusco, where I could immerse myself in the richness of my ancestral culture. The art that I witnessed was a vibrant tapestry of colors, shapes, and geometric patterns that captivated my heart.

The intricate shapes of the stones used by the Incas in their structures left a deep impression on me, becoming a source of inspiration. Through these collages, I pay homage to the culture and wisdom of Indigenous people from Peru, who have cherished and protected our connection to nature, allowing individuals like me, whose family experienced displacement through migration, to reconnect with and cherish our heritage.

The uniqueness of this series lies in the use of triangles that form patterns. In my typical works, I use mostly soft, curvy and circular shapes. However, for this series, I explored the realm of edges and triangles, evoking the aesthetic of my cultura and embracing a fresh exploration of form.
