This piece is about the power of books and public libraries. The poster includes three figures: a mother who uses to library to learn how to use tools and build something of meaning, a youth who participates in the library’s teen program, and a child who loves to read and be transported to various worlds.

This piece was commissioned by the Oakland Public Library as a part of a campaign to be more inclusive and to speak to Oakland’s many diverse communities. The art was placed on posters, advertisements, bookmarks, and other free giveaways.
