Evolution is part of a series of three books that offer an intimate glimpse into Favianna’s artistic journey, tracing her exploration of monotype textures and character development from 2011 to 2024. In 2011, a new chapter in Favianna’s creative evolution began during a printmaking residency, where access to an etching press unlocked new realms of expression beyond her early work in social justice posters. This shift ignited a deep exploration of monotyping, texture, and form, marking the beginning of a dynamic artistic transformation.
