Collage with monoprint elements on cotton rag paper.
22.5 x 15 inches

This work is one in a series of prints in which I am using abstract language and engaging with the possibilities of my shapes and forms. In this piece, I am merging my usual shapes with the excess paper that remains from my many cutouts. My practice is constantly evolving, and I enjoy exploring various approaches to my mark-making. The way I make marks and arrangements on a sheet of paper is a reflection of my lived experience and my gaze upon the world - my cosmovision. These works are about love and transformation, and the desire to always be evolving. I opted for a more muted style of colors to encourage myself to find beauty in the colors that I tend to use less of.
