Liminality

This piece was conceived in 2018 during a 5-week artist residency at the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation in Captiva, Florida. The piece depicts myself immersed in the natural world that surrounded me on the island. The natural environment - everything from the foliage on the trees, to the ocean waves, to the wild birds, dolphins and manatees on Captiva - inspired me tremendously and helped me delve deep into my tranquility and creativity.
