Manta Experimental 1

This print is part of a three-piece collection, Manta Experimental (Experimental Weavings), inspired by the weaving traditions in Peruvian culture. In these large-scale scroll pieces, I interlace symbols and elements that reflect both my relationship to my homeland. As a woman displaced from her ancestral culture and part of the Peruvian diaspora, I create my own imagery to explore a fragmented history shaped by Indigenous, African, and colonizer lineages. Although much of my story was erased through migration, my art has become a way to reconnect, remember, and remix traditions so that they are not lost.
