Migrations

This piece is part of a suite of monotypes developed at SAE Editions in Palo Alto. Throughout 2013, I was growing more comfortable with my unique approach to monotyping, and was experimenting with different brayer sizes, stencils, and collaging styles. I also experimented with the viscosity of the ink, often covering the surface of the plexi with mineral spirits.

This piece depicts two migratory creatures, a bird and a butterfly.
