Pio Pio

This piece is about a little chick, or pollito, as its called in Spanish. During the creation of this print, I experimented with a variety of loose drawn lines and textures, and reused previous images of faces and doodles. In my usual approach, I opted for strong and clearly defined lines, yet I also sought to move out of my comfort zone and play with the layering potential of the serigraph.

This serigraph was hand-printed by Master Printer, Jesus Barraza, at Taller Tupac Amaru, in a limited edition run of 45 on Mr. French Yellow paper.
