Rio 2.0

This piece is about people of color being strong leaders in their community. The shape of the face was hand cut from black construction paper as an experiment. I fell in love with the rough edges, and the powerful nature of the profile so I made a print from it. The song is named after one of my favorite songs, “Rio,” by the band Duran Duran.
