The Fertile Heart of Earth

This art work celebrates my connection to land and the fertility of the soil. I find immense joy in tending to the soil, nurturing food from seed to blossom to fruit-bearing plant. My garden yields a bounty of tomatoes, kale, bok choy, chard, spinach, basil, squash, blueberries, carrots, potatoes, eggplant, celery and more! I'm also exploring worm composting, and my efforts have enriched the soil, evidenced by the abundance of earthworms I now find. I believe it's essential to cultivate a deeper connection with the earth, to literally get our hands in the soil.
