The Power of Us

This digital art piece represents the power of intersectional social movement organizing. The piece features three people: a girl, a person in a wheelchair, and an adult. Each of them is holding a candle, to shine a light on the injustices they face, and to collaboratively find solutions. The candles all shine at a similar height, to represent the importance of equity and unity. Behind them is the world. This group represents many other people throughout the world who face entrenched inequality because of their gender, ability, and race.

This piece was commissioned by Amnesty International for their annual global meeting.
