West Oakland For the People

I created this poster in collaboration with Just Cause Oakland, an organization that fought for tenant protections and housing justice in Oakland for over two decades. They were instrumental in advocating for rent control, eviction defense, and stronger rights for working-class tenants and communities of color. This poster was rooted in my experience growing up in Oakland, California. I had witnessed the severe displacement of 25% Black people as a result of gentrification and wealth inequality. I was honored to be a part of resistance efforts through contributing my art.
