Who Can It Be Now
This piece is about loneliness and anxiety. It was inspired by the hit song, Who Can It Be Now, by the 80’s band Men at Work. 2008 was a year when I committed to name all my art pieces after 80's pop songs. The 80’s was a formative time in my childhood because it was the decade during which I learned to speak English and assimilate to American culture. My older cousins worked at a record shop and I would explore their record collection for hours, staring at the record covers and making mixed tapes.
