Symphony of Shapes 8
This series of collages on wood panels delves into my process of composing intricate works through the intentional assembly of shapes and textures. Each season, I create a fresh collection of hand-carved colors and textures, meticulously designing them to reflect the thematic undertones of my work. In 2023, my creative projects revolved around the majestic redwood trees and the intricate ecosystems of the Bay Area, my home. Among these artworks, remnants from past artistic projects that I was reluctant to discard found a renewed purpose. I remixed them to create new playful and colorful compositions.
In these works, I breathe new life into each of my shapes, harmonizing their essence to create vibrant, lively compositions. The textures reflect the ocean's caress, root-like tendrils, and my signature motifs, melding into vibrant, playful, and bold expressions.
