Voices Inside My Head (Trial Proof)
In this monotype, the overlapping shapes represent the chorus of voices that makes up my personality. At times one voice overpowers the other. Through self reflection and therapy, I’m learning how to understand them all.
In this monotype, I layered three primary colors that I frequently use in my work: Primrose Yellow, Hot Pink, and Ocean Blue. Each layer of color is a metaphor for my own lived experiences, one color overlapping with another to form a new tone, thus, a new experience. I ask myself: What areas are missing? What can I learn from the areas that remain untouched? Perhaps these blank spaces are a metaphor for the experiences that are yet to come.
